Bracketed root-finding helpers for scalar functions.

Polynomial root isolation partitions an interval at derivative roots, then refines each sign-changing monotone window with bracketed bisection. Linear and quadratic cases are solved directly. Higher degrees use the same procedure recursively on their derivative. Root lists are numerical: fixed parameter merging and coefficient-relative zero tests can merge close roots or classify a near-touch as a root. They do not certify exact algebraic multiplicity or completeness for ill-conditioned polynomials.
